Just as the name imply's, the Racquet Club is well known in the valley as THE community to live in if you enjoy playing tennis. There's 9 tennis courts, on-site tennis pro and residents can participate in leagues and match play if desired.
If tennis isn't your thing, the Racquet Club maintains a full calendar of activities and special events, has 5 pools and 6 spa's, clubhouse, execise room and the resort-style grounds are fantastic for daily walks.
The location is excellent. 92nd street is less than a mile away where you will find Fry's Grocery, Home Depot, Wendy's, Ajo Al's, Mustang Library, Scottsdale Hospital, and pretty much any other type of shopping or restaurant you may desire. The Loop 101 freeway is also approximately a mile away for easy access around the valley.
One thing that's a little unique for the area, is this community offers not only condos for sale, but townhomes as well. The condo buildings are all two story, but the living areas are on one floor. So if you need something without any stairs, a condo will be your best option. The downside of the condos of course is that they come with covered carports for parking as opposed to an attached garage. The townhomes are two story as well, have 2 to 3 bedrooms, and all have either a one car or two car attached garage.
The Homeowners association fees are higher than most, but they start to make sense when you factor in all the landscaping and grass, 24 hour guard, social director, upkeep of the 5 pools, 6 spas, tennis courts etc. In addition, the monthly homeowners association dues cover all the things you would expect such as water, sewer, trash, roof repair, roof replacement, common area maintenance and blanket hazard insurance policy.
Some of the residences have mountain views, however, green belt and pool views are much more common.
